Seven years later, her son, Chris Cicchinelli, stepped up to become CEO and President. For decades, we helped bring women together through our network of consultant sellers. However, starting in 2023, Pure Romance transitioned away from the outdated MLM model and became a 100% direct-to-consumer business.

After countless conversations with women struggling to get answers to their sexual health questions, our founder, Patty Brisben, realized that women’s sexual health is an extremely overlooked and underfunded aspect of medicine – and a place she could do some good.
So, in 2005, she established the 501(c)(3) non-profit SHE+ Foundation (formerly known as the Patty Brisben Foundation).
The foundation’s goal is to advocate, educate, and fund advances in women’s sexual health with the guiding principle that sexual health is general health.
Backed by a board of medical advisors, Patty continues to lead the charge to this day, helping raise more than $8 million towards critical research and groundbreaking sexual health studies.
