The Ultimate Guide to Female Orgasms

The Ultimate Guide to Female Orgasms

You probably already know that the clitoris is the powerhouse of sexual pleasure. With more than 10,000 nerve endings, it’s literally BUILT for orgasms. You likely already know about a few other kinds of orgasms as well: the internal, vaginal orgasm, and the hidden pleasures of the G-spot. But your body has TONS of orgasmic potential. You just need to know how to harness it.

So come with us (sorry not sorry) as we bring you the ultimate guide to female orgasms.

Clitoral Orgasms

As we noted above, the clitoris has more than 10,000 nerve endings that make it the ultimate pleasure spot on the body. It’s no wonder it’s become the focus of so much attention. In fact, research shows, that 36.6% of women surveyed reported that they required clitoral stimulation in order to orgasm and another 36% said that, while they didn’t need it, adding it into the mix during sex made their orgasms better. That’s nearly 73% of women! It’s no wonder the clitoris has become such a focus of feminine pleasure.

Toys To Try

Because of its popularity, the clitoris has a wide variety of toys out there that can help you reach your orgasmic potential. Our recommendation? Joystick. This thin and flexible vibe may seem basic, but its long reach and powerful vibration means you can tease just about anywhere you please.

G-spot Orgasms

Another oft-talked-about (yet just as often ignored) center of orgasmic bliss is the legendary G-spot. This spot, located 2-3 inches inside the vagina, along its front wall, can provide intense pleasure when stimulated. The easiest way to find it is to insert two fingers, facing upward, and make a “come here” motion. The area is notable for having a smoother texture than the surrounding tissue.

Need a little more help navigating the area? Our GPS cream is specially formulated to stimulate the G-spot, making it easier to find and adds a little tingly pleasure, making this much-lauded orgasm that much easier to attain.

When it comes to toys, Showstopper is perfectly tailored to G-spot stimulation. Its curved shaft targets the area with precision, and the added vibes are sure to bring down the house.

Vaginal Orgasm

The final of our three “common” orgasms is the vaginal orgasm. You likely aren’t a stranger to this one. Vaginal orgasms happen when penetration stimulates vaginal walls. These orgasms tend to feel “deeper” in the body and can usually be felt by a partner as these walls pulse, often gripping the penis or toy that caused the stimulation.

Toys To Try

Just about any insertable toy should be able to get the job done, but one of our favorites is Hits The Spot. Don’t be turned off by the tasseled whip – because the handle is where it’s at! This dual-ended toy features powerful vibration, and a textured shaft that will give you everything you need to go all the way.

 Pleasure Take the Wheel

Ready to go off the edge of the map? The rest of these orgasms, you may have theorized, toyed with – or even experienced. But these less common climaxes are no less pleasurable (some may even give you the best orgasm of your life!), they just may be harder to obtain, harder to define, or completely unknown to you.

As we dive deep into these new kinds of orgasms, just remember: when it comes to coming, exploration is its own reward.

Rolling Orgasms

If you've experienced this one, your first thought was probably "Holy sh*t," followed quickly by, "How do I do that again?" Some women can experience multiple orgasms one right after the other. Research is light on an exact percentage of individuals who can experience multiple Os in a short span of time, but we do know one thing: They’re lucky af.

Toys to Try

Take your pick! If your body is capable of producing more than one orgasm in a short period of time, a vibrator may be the most reliable way to attain this feat. While a partner may get tired (gotta keep up on that cardio!), a toy’s unrelenting vibration may be exactly what you need to keep the engines roaring.

A-spot Orgasm

This one may be new to you. The anterior fornix erogenous zone is an area located deep inside te vagina. For simplicity, most just call it the AFE or A-spot.

Located just a few inches past the G-spot (in all, about 4–5 inches in), the A-spot is usually best reached with a toy, but fingers – or a well-endowed partner – may be able to reach. By massaging this spot with careful pressure and movement, you’ll likely find that things are getting a little... wetter than usual. Even those who don’t necessarily orgasm from this stimulation often find that it amps up their natural lubrication and makes it easier to orgasm in other ways.

Triple Orgasm Machine has the reach to get the job done, but we recommend starting your exploration with the vibration turned off until you’ve found the right spot, easing into more and more intense stimulation.

Anal Orgasm

You know what they say: Don’t knock it ‘til you’ve tried it. Anal sex may be taboo to many, but it has been proven over and over that many find pleasure in it. In fact, one study found that 100% of men and 94% of women who received anal sex had an orgasm. Now – to be completely transparent – while 1,931 people were surveyed, only a combined 56 people even replied that they’d received anal sex. So, while these numbers definitely require more research, there is still zero question that both men and women can find anal sex to be pleasurable.

If you’re interested in exploring anal sex, there are smart, safe ways to go about it. In our short little rundown here, though, we’ll keep our advice succinct: Start small – there are lots of great beginner toys and plugs out there – and lube Lube LUBE. Vaginas are self-lubricating, but anal canals are not! Silicone lubricant is highly recommended for anal exploration.

Our silicone lubricant Pure Pleasure is a MUST for anal play, as it doesn’t soak into the skin as quickly as water-based lubricants, and our Mesmerize vibrating plug is soft, flexible, and provides seven vibrating modes that will make you realize the wonders of anal sex.

Squirting Orgasm

Like a blurry picture of a person-shaped figure lumbering through the forest, many think of female ejaculation as a myth – a pornographic gimmick, or a story told by an embarrassed woman who was too caught up in the moment to hit the bathroom before sex.

But it’s real!

Squirting is (often) the result of G-spot stimulation, and can be done with fingers, toys, or a penis, and is often paired with the feeling of suddenly needing to pee.

That being said, female ejaculation is not urination. While the fluid itself comes from the bladder – and does contain urine – squirting is not the result of someone orgasming so much that they pee.

As demonstrated in two different studies, the bladder – which was emptied at the beginning of the tests – begins to fill as a result of sexual stimulation. As the G-spot is stimulated, and an orgasm occurs, those fluids are “squirted,” and the bladder is (again) emptied.

“That sounds a lot like peeing,” you say.

But here’s the thing: while analysis of the ejaculate did contain urine, it also contained fluid from the Skene’s gland, which is often called the “female prostate.”

Still confused? Think of it like filling a pitcher with blue powdered drink mix, dumping that pitcher out, and then filling it with water again. That water’s still probably gonna be tinted blue, right?

This fluid from the Skene’s gland helps with lubrication of the urethra, and a larger amount is produced during sexual stimulation to help with vaginal lubrication as well.

TL;DR: No, squirting is not a myth. Yes, squirting is normal. No, you aren’t peeing.

Nipple Orgasm

Nipple sensitivity ranges from person to person, so your mileage may vary on how easy or difficult it is, but it is totally possible to orgasm just from having your nipples stimulated. Manually rubbing or pinching, oral stimulation with the lips, tongue, or teeth, or vibration from a sex toy can all bring you to climax. Even if you can’t seem to reach orgasm, breast stimulation can still help further the whole process along, so there’s no reason not to include it during your solo sessions or sex.

Toys To Try

If your nipples enjoy a little vibration, then just about any vibrator is going to provide the stimulation you’re looking for. But if you enjoy the pain and pleasure brought on by pinching, we recommend our nipple clamps. Wear them while masturbating or during sex to amp up your arousal and take it to the next level.

Exercise Orgasm

Sometimes called a “Coregasm,” these are orgasms that spontaneously occur during core workouts. Scientists have a few theories, but they aren’t quite sure how or why they happen. Let’s just check these off to yet another benefit to regular exercise!

Sleep Orgasm

Sleep orgasms are, as you might have guessed, an orgasm that occurs while you sleep. Of course, this can happen when your dreams turn a little sexy, but there’s also a more biological cause. During REM sleep, the clitoris can become super sensitive (think: morning wood, but for vaginas), so a simple turn in bed or rub against the sheets just might send you into an orgasmic tizzy at the most random of moments.

Yes, these are “wet dreams.” While most think of them in relation to penis-owners, those with vaginas can have wet dreams too.

If that doesn’t encourage you to get more sleep, is there anything that will?

Whole Body Orgasm

You know when you’re sitting at your desk or on the couch and you suddenly get a chill that makes your whole body shiver? Imagine that – but it’s an orgasm. Muscles tighten, back arches, toes curl… your entire body erupts in orgasmic bliss. That’s a whole body orgasm.

There’s no simple way to achieve a whole body orgasm, but the best advice is to relax, have patience, and focus on stimulating multiple erogenous zones at once. Take your time, involve your partner, if you have one, and… enjoy.

Blended Orgasm

Blended orgasms are a combination of orgasms all happening at once. When most people talk about this type of orgasm, though, they’re specifically referencing clitoral and vaginal/G-spot orgasms, especially since there are sex toys specifically designed to target those spots simultaneously. These dual-action toys feature a clitoral teaser and penetrative shaft that may also curve up to target the G-spot. This unique combination of sensations is often considered the ultimate orgasm, unleashing powerful pleasure and an intensity unmatched by one orgasm alone.
